Mollypops is a new pony club run by mother and daughter team Kelly and Molly.  This club runs on a Saturday morning.  At a cost of £10 for the 2 hours, aimed at children around the ages 7-14. Children can come for a one off session or attend as many as they like.  Free Trial Session.

This a pony club with a difference.  We provide an enriched experience that is both fun and educational that allows a child to build their confidence with horses and develops themselves at the same time. Children spend time doing lots of activities with the ponies on the ground and also have the opportunity to do art activities in our art room, help with the care of our chickens and our allotment.  Each session can cater for up to a maximum of 8 people.   Children do not need prior experience with horses to take part.

Please note at this stage there is no riding involved. We are not a riding school.

A range of activities will be included each week. A few examples are:

  • Grooming of the ponies.
  • Peacock spotting in the trees.
  • Leading ponies.
  • Massage ponies.
  • Creative writing.
  • Learning the parts of a horse.
  • Obstacle courses with horses.
  • Team building activities.
  • Feeding the horses.
  • Maths fun.
  • Science and nature.
  • Learning how to look after a pony.
  • Blackberry picking.
  • Feeding chickens.
  • Helping to look after the land.
  • Helping to grow plants and vegetables.
  • Learning to tie haynets.
  • Mindfulness.
  • The list is endless....

As well as children having fun they are also learning new skills all the time and building character skills as the list opposite shows.  All skills which help them in their educational attainment.  Happy children perform better academically and enjoy better employment prospects, it’s that simple!
